This view tracks the Cursor Plugin Marketplace — plugins that bundle MCP servers, skills, commands, rules, hooks and subagents for the Cursor editor — and refreshes once a day. Right now that’s 348 plugins, last updated Sun, 20 Sep 2026 00:00:28 GMT.
Cursor publishes no install count, rating, or score of any kind, so nothing here measures popularity. By default we rank plugins by join date, newest first. A Most components tab ranks by how much each one ships instead — the components listed above, counted together — which is breadth, not quality or usage: a bigger plugin is not a better one.
The marketplace does list plugins in a fixed order of its own, but that order is simply newest-first too, so we track join date as its own standing rather than reusing the marketplace’s listing position, which was never published as a ranking.
We store daily snapshots to show how rankings shift over time. We’ve been tracking for 25 days so far. The growth and category charts go further back — they use the date each plugin joined, so they cover the marketplace’s full history. Growth is split by whether Cursor verifies the publisher, which it does for the publisher rather than for each individual plugin.
This ranking is independent from the other directories here. All three measure different things, so mixing them wouldn’t mean anything.
