Engram gives Claude a memory of your work that lasts beyond one chat. It builds and keeps a private brain of the people, projects, decisions and commitments that matter to you, linked together and dated, with the source behind every fact.
What you can do:
- Activate your brain: "Engram, activate my brain." Claude asks a few questions, connects the work sources you choose and builds your brain from them.
- Keep it fresh: a daily update (run on demand or as a Claude scheduled task) adds what changed, deepens thin memories and flags what needs you.
- Ask about your own work: "What did we decide on pricing?" Claude recalls the relevant memories with summaries, recent updates and source links.
- Save what matters: "Remember that the launch moved to March." Claude stores it and keeps its history.
- Track commitments: what is owed, by whom and by when, with overdue items surfaced.
- Several brains (work, personal, clients); share topics with teammates after a preview, or run a team brain with editor and reader roles.
Private by design: cloud brains are encrypted with a key only the user holds (passkey or passphrase plus a recovery key). Memories are never used to train models, sold or shared. Export or delete everything at any time.
