Japan Restaurant Calories gives Claude the nutrition facts that Japanese restaurant chains publish (often only as PDFs): calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and salt for every item, and for some chains vitamins and minerals too. It covers 24,000+ menu items from 100+ chains such as Sukiya, Yoshinoya, McDonald's Japan, MOS Burger, KFC Japan and Saizeriya, and the data is re-collected from the chains' own documents every week.
Tools:
- search_menu: find items by name (Japanese), chain, genre, calorie range or nutrient. Each result includes the item page and the chain's source document.
- sum_items: total a meal, with quantities. Nutrients that a chain does not publish are reported as missing rather than counted as zero.
- list_chains: which chains are covered, which nutrients each one publishes, and when the data was fetched.
- request_missing: tell the operator that a chain or item is missing. Requests are counted anonymously and used to decide what to add next.
