JusticeLibre gives Claude direct access to French and European case law and legislation, from official open data. Searching and reading require no account and no API key.

What Claude can do with it:

Search and read decisions of the Cour de cassation, courts of appeal, judicial and commercial courts (over 2 million decisions) Search and read decisions of the Conseil d'État, administrative courts of appeal and administrative tribunals (JADE, open data of administrative justice, ArianeWeb) Search the Conseil constitutionnel, the European Court of Human Rights (HUDOC, texts in French or English) and the Court of Justice of the EU (EUR-Lex) Read any article of French law or code as it was in force on a given date, with its version history, and see when an article was renumbered (e.g. former article 1382 of the Civil Code, now 1240) Find the decisions that cite a given article of law, and the legislative history of a law Search the Journal officiel, collective agreements (KALI), CNIL deliberations, public doctrine (conclusions of public rapporteurs, CADA opinions, BOFiP) and public contact addresses of courts and administrations

Every result carries its official identifier and a link to its source, so citations can be checked. Lookups by number are exact: an unknown number returns an error, never a neighbouring decision. The public data is read-only. Optional account tools let a signed-in user save references, notes and folders in their own JusticeLibre account.

Run by JusticeLibre, a French non-profit association. Open source (MIT).

Permissions
Without an account, JusticeLibre only reads public legal data (court decisions, laws, official doctrine); it accesses nothing belonging to the user and asks for no personal information. With an optional personal access token, it can also read and modify the user's own JusticeLibre folders (saved references, notes, sub-folders), and only within the permissions the user granted to that token. Permanent deletion requires the user's explicit confirmation. It has no access to any other account, file or service.
