Mailbox MCP connects Claude to the email mailbox you already own: Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Gmail, Fastmail, or any ordinary IMAP host. Nothing is migrated and no copy of your mail is kept.

Looking for a way to connect Claude to Outlook? This is it. Outlook is a program on your computer; your mail lives in a mailbox behind it. Mailbox MCP connects to that mailbox directly, so it works whether or not Outlook is installed, at your desk or on your phone, and treats Microsoft 365, Gmail and any IMAP host the same way.

Ask what has come in and get the senders, subjects and first line of every message in one answer. Search across folders. Read a message, or a whole thread, without marking anything as read. Read what is inside an attachment: an invoice total, a spreadsheet, a scanned letter. Send, reply and forward as yourself or as any alias on the mailbox, save a draft as a real threaded reply, and file the way your own mail client does: archive, report junk, move, flag, and manage folders.

Your address book comes with the mailbox: Outlook contacts on Microsoft 365, or a CardDAV book on any host that offers one. Find a person, read their card with the postal address, add and correct contacts, and import a contacts file. On Microsoft 365, Google Calendar and CalDAV accounts it opens the diary too: see who is free, find a time everybody can meet, book it, move it, cancel it, and set your out-of-office.

Every connection carries a permission level you choose at approval: read only, draft and file, or send and delete. A shared mailbox can be worked by a team: claim a message so colleagues see who has it, hand one to a named person, and hold a draft for the owner's approval before it is sent.
