Plan and run a free hackathon on simple-hack.app with five role-focused skills. Organisers create an event, configure registration and judging, publish a custom event website and icon, manage teams, and publish results. Participants join with a code, form teams, submit an entry and vote. Judges open project sites, score the rubric and manage conflicts. Website Deploy Builder helps plan a team project, and Website Deploy publishes its static site and configures KV, SQLite or file resources as well as declared saved data.

If the Simple Hack connector is available, the skills use its tools with the signed-in person's event permissions. Otherwise they guide the same actions through the REST API using the person's simple-hack.app key. The same connection works across event roles and can select the person's current team for site publishing. Public event JSON supports a custom page while joining, team work, judging and management stay on the trusted apex.

Example prompts

  • “Help me create a draft hackathon and publish its event website”
  • “Show my hackathon events and the stage of each one”
  • “I am judging a hackathon; show my projects and scoring rubric”

Skills

  • join-hackathon

Join and participate in a Simple Hack event on simple-hack.app. Use for requests such as join this hackathon with a code, answer signup questions, check my application, create or join a team, choose a track, edit our project entry, vote, or see my team's results. For building and publishing the team website use website-deploy.

  • judge-hackathon

Judge projects in a Simple Hack event on simple-hack.app. Use for requests such as I'm judging this hackathon, join with a judge code, show my judging queue, open a team's website, score projects, add comments, declare a conflict, or see my scores. Organisers who also judge use this same workflow.

  • run-hackathon

Organise a hosted hackathon on simple-hack.app. Use for requests such as create an event, configure registration and tracks, publish an event website or icon, manage teams or judging, send announcements, or publish results. For joining as a participant use join-hackathon; for scoring as a judge use judge-hackathon.

  • website-deploy

Deploy or update a static website on simple-host.app, including its declared saved data, visitor sign-in, private submissions and public pages. Use for requests to build, publish or fix a site. Also use for a Simple Hack team site after join-hackathon identifies the current team; that site publishes through the Simple Hack team connection or team key.

  • website-deploy-builder

Plan a static website and its saved data before implementation. Use when someone asks what to build with Simple Host KV, SQLite or files, how to preserve an existing site's declared-data behavior, or how to scope a Simple Hack team project. Hand implementation to website-deploy.
