About this data
- This view tracks the ChatGPT Plugin directory — OpenAI’s collection of MCP-based integrations — and refreshes once a day. Right now that’s 2,919 plugins, last updated Wed, 26 Aug 2026 01:21:49 GMT.
- OpenAI doesn’t publish popularity scores or install counts, so we rank plugins by where the directory itself places them. Plugins are grouped into categories, and we use their best category position as their rank — so ties are possible.
- We store daily snapshots to show how rankings shift over time. The growth and category charts go further back — they use the date each plugin joined the directory, so they cover its full history. Growth is split by whether a plugin ships an in-chat Apps SDK UI or is a plain connector.
- This ranking is independent from the Claude directory. The two use completely different measures, so mixing them wouldn’t mean anything.
