Basement

Basement is a collector app for trading cards and other collectibles. In ChatGPT it answers questions about your own Basement Collection and the collector market, and its shopping agent buys physical items for you from any Shopify store and other supported stores.

What you can do:

• See what your Collection is worth: total market value, the change since last week, your most valuable items and the biggest gains and drops against what you paid.
• Price a card or sealed product: Basement's market price with its sources (TCGplayer market and low, recent eBay sales), when it was last updated, the 7 and 30 day trend and how confident the estimate is.
• Add cards and sealed product you own to your Collection, and see how close you are to finishing a set and what the missing cards cost.
• Check upcoming releases on the drop calendar and set a release day reminder.
• Keep a Watchlist of things you want, and set up a buy-when alert ("tell me when this is under $50"). Buy-when orders made from ChatGPT always ask you again before anything is bought.
• Have Basement's agent buy it for you. Ask for a physical item from any Shopify store (most collectible and hobby shops run on Shopify) or another supported store, and say the most you will pay. Basement finds the exact product and shows a card with the item, the store and your limit, tax and shipping included. Its Buy button opens basementbrowser.com, where you sign in to Basement and press Buy; the agent then completes the store's checkout for you. Nothing is charged until you press Buy, and the store is never paid more than your limit.

Who it is for: people who collect trading cards (Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and more), sealed product, video games, LEGO sets and books, and want quick answers about what they own and what things are worth.

Good to know:

• You need a Basement account. When you connect, you sign in with Apple or Google, or create an account on the same page, and you see every permission before you allow it.
• Buying needs a card and a spending limit you set up on basementbrowser.com. Card numbers, passwords and store codes are never asked for or shown in ChatGPT; when a store asks for a code, you type it on basementbrowser.com.
• Only physical goods can be bought. Basement does not sell digital goods through ChatGPT.
• Prices are market estimates from recent sales and listings, not offers to buy or sell.
• Scanning a card with your camera needs the Basement iPhone app.
• Basement in ChatGPT is available in the United States, and stores and prices are for the United States.
