BasicDeploy lets your assistant create a live container for a web app, deploy code to it, and manage it — all from the chat. Each app comes with a PostgreSQL database, S3-compatible object storage, environment variables, and a public HTTPS URL, set up automatically.
Through the connector, the assistant can create containers, deploy a project, run shell commands, and read logs. You can also add hosted sign-up and login to the apps you build over standard OpenID Connect, so your app gets its own users without writing an auth system. You sign in once with your BasicDeploy account — no API key to paste. Pricing is a flat monthly rate that includes the database, storage, bandwidth, and URL.
Example prompts
- “Build and deploy a URL shortener with a PostgreSQL database, and give me the live link.”
- “Create a Next.js guestbook that saves entries in Postgres and photo uploads in S3, deploy it, and share the URL.”
- “Deploy a Python FastAPI backend with a couple of endpoints, wire it to the database, and give me the public URL.”
Skills
deploy-on-basicdeploy
Deploy and host a web app, API, or site on BasicDeploy and get a live HTTPS URL. Trigger when the user asks to deploy, host, ship, or "put online" an app on BasicDeploy (with the BasicDeploy connector available). Covers creating a container, deploying code over the chat connector, the REQUIRED 0.0.0.0:8080 port, the preset DATABASE_URL / S3 env vars, logs, and always-on. Do not use for other hosting providers.
