Reelyze

ChatGPT plugin

Find why reels lose viewers

View in ChatGPT directory

Reelyze is a retention analyser for short-form video. Give it a link to an Instagram Reel, a TikTok or a YouTube Short and it reports where viewers are predicted to stop watching, how strong the opening three seconds are, and what to change.

It works by downloading the video, transcribing its audio and reading its frames, so it can answer questions about a video whose page cannot simply be fetched, where the content is in the video and the audio rather than in the HTML.

Other tasks it supports: scoring a hook on its own, transcribing a video, writing hooks, captions and hashtags from a topic, searching what is currently performing in a niche, and answering questions about the posts on a connected account.

Intended users: creators, social media managers and content teams who publish short-form video and want to understand why one specific video held attention or lost it.

Limitations: the retention read is a prediction derived from the video itself, not a platform's measured analytics. Reelyze does not read private platform insights unless the user connects their own account, it does not post or schedule content, and it cannot analyse a private or deleted video.

Skills

  • analyze-reel

Diagnose why a specific short-form video underperformed by analysing the video itself. Use when given an Instagram, TikTok or YouTube Shorts link and asked why it flopped, how to fix the hook, or where viewers dropped off.

  • fix-reel-hashtags

Say how many hashtags to use on Instagram now that the platform caps them at five, with measured evidence of what creators actually do. Use when asked about hashtag counts, hashtag strategy, or whether more hashtags help reach.

  • judge-reel-views

Decide whether a reel's view count is good, bad or normal for the size of the account, using a measured dataset rather than a rule of thumb. Use when someone asks "is this good", "why so few views", or compares a video against their follower count.

  • write-reel-script

Write a short-form video script or generate content ideas, prioritised by what actually drives reach. Use when asked to write a reel script, a hook, a TikTok script, or for ideas on what to post next.
