Synapse

ChatGPT plugin

Research papers, explained

View in ChatGPT directory

Synapse helps clinicians and researchers find, read and understand scientific literature without leaving the chat.

Search ranks papers from Synapse's clinical corpus (deepest in cardiology) and PubMed, and covers physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering and other fields through OpenAlex. Open any paper to see its Synapse explainer video or graphical abstract, the key finding, study design at a glance, key results, implications, limitations, what experts are saying about it, and similar papers. Clinicians can also look up guideline recommendations with class and level of evidence, registered clinical trials on ClinicalTrials.gov, and what is trending in their field.

Synapse is read-only and needs no account. It searches public scholarly sources and Synapse's own paper summaries; generated summaries and extracted evidence are labelled as such. Synapse provides research information, not medical advice, and does not take patient details.
