Ask what you missed in Telegram, summarize a conversation, find a shared document, or draft a reply using the context of your chats.
Telepath connects ChatGPT to your authorized Telegram archive. Search messages and available voice-message and video-note transcripts, inspect photos, and read supported documents. Catch up across conversations or review one chat for decisions, commitments, and questions that still need an answer.
Draft and send replies when Telegram permissions allow. You can also save useful context to Telepath Notes, organize projects and tasks, schedule Telegram reminders when available on your account, and publish, edit, delete, or pin posts in channels you have connected and authorized.
Get started
1. Connect Telepath to ChatGPT and sign in with Telegram. 2. Open Chat Automation in Telegram: Android: Settings → Account → Chat automation iPhone: Settings → Edit → Chat Automation Telegram Desktop: Settings → ⋮ → Edit profile → Chat automation 3. Add @lemma_telepath_bot, choose which private chats to share, and save: tap ✓ on Android or go Back on iPhone and Telegram Desktop. 4. Return to ChatGPT and ask: “What did I miss in Telegram today?”

New messages and optional older history
New messages from selected chats are archived while your Telegram connection is active. Signing in alone does not connect your chats, and older messages do not appear automatically.
Importing older history is optional. You can do it later from a computer while continuing to use Telepath with new messages. Send /import to @lemma_telepath_bot for an upload link, then upload a JSON export from Telegram Desktop. Export one chat or several, without media. Imported history includes text and message details; media files from the export are not uploaded.
Groups, channels, and permissions
Add the bot to a group to archive new messages it has permission to receive. Replies in groups are sent under the bot’s name. Connect channels through the bot; channel actions require the appropriate ownership and bot permissions.
Telepath uses Telegram’s official Business API for private chats. You choose which chats it can access and whether it may send messages. Sending and editing in private Business chats requires the appropriate permissions and an incoming message in that chat within the previous 24 hours. Results cover the available archive, not every conversation or message in Telegram.
Manage Notes and tasks in ChatGPT or the Telepath Notes Mini App. Use @lemma_telepath_bot for connection settings and imports. The /deletedata command asks for confirmation before permanently deleting your Telepath archive, notes, settings, and subscription record. Remove the bot from Chat Automation to stop new private-chat collection.
